SharePoint 2010 Web Parts by License Type
The official SharePoint site contains a comparison of the features in each SharePoint 2010 edition but does not include specific details on what web parts are available for each SKU/license type. This is useful to know when choosing between Foundation vs Standard vs Enterprise, as this additional functionality may be a good reason to upgrade (or turn on these features for specific users). It is also useful to know these as a developer or solution architect so you don’t custom develop something that has already been built and tested by Microsoft – something that I often see happen.
Below are a list of the web parts that are available when creating a team site in the various editions:

There are also a large amount of web parts that appear either when you enable certain features, or add them to the web part gallery manually. Some common examples are the Content Query Web Part and the Media Web Part (added automatically for sites based on the publishing or collaboration site templates). There are a large amount of these so I’m only showing a few to give you an indication of what else is available. To have a look at the full list navigate to Site Actions > Site Settings > Galleries | Web parts from the site collection root and then select Documents > New Document from the ribbon. This will give you a list of all web parts available to add to the new web part menu.

“There are nine types of filters provided with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010”. According to the article, the 9 web parts in category “Filters” belong to SharePoint Server 2010.

Nice post Ari! This information is unclear in ms site… unfortunatelly. I have a question: i downloaded the trial version of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16631).. according ms and another sites in internet, this version is the same of non trial version, except the trial period. But i dont found de InfoPath Form Web Part… only non trial versions had this web part available? Thanks!
